|Aeun uses a somewhat experimental approach.
We use a unique mix of natural ingredients and specially selected skin loving preservatives.
Our soaps are no lookers ; but the vitamin rich mix simply softens and protects your skin.
We make cross over products that give you great value for money.
Coconut oil : Coconut oil is produced across West Africa, parts of Asia, the Caribbean and South America. It has antimicrobial and moisturising properties valuable for all skin types. Coconut oil is easy to break down and has proteins valuable for aiding skin renewal.
Oatmeal : Oatmeal is extensively produced in Scotland and is known for its use as a breakfast cereal. Oatmeal contains essential proteins - some of which (fibrin) is similar to the proteins existent in skin structure. It has antioxidants and what is now referred to as phytochemicals that help fight cancers.
Hibiscus : Hibiscus is cultivated in a range of Countries within Tropical and Temperate regions. Our hibiscus is mainly sourced from the North of Nigeria, a country where the leaves are brewed, sweetened and drunk as a local beverage called zobo. In Europe, Germany is also a known producer. Hibiscus is rich in antioxidants and vitamins including vitamins A, C and E. It is anti inflammatory and acts as an exfoliant and brightener for skin and hair.
Honey : Honey is produced extensively across the world, but in our formulations we use a mix of English, Balkan and Bulgarian produced honey. For some, honey is a dual proposition when used in skincare formulations. Its benefits such as antimicrobial properties and exfoliation vary depending on quantities used and nature of the formulation.
Milk : Like Honey, Milk is produced everywhere. Milk is often processed to obtain purer proteins in our formulations leading to faster acting ingredients such as amines and enzymes that aid skin regeneration and protection. We source our milk sustainably from local supermarkets.
Herbs : We use a range of plants and herbs like thyme, bay leaves, wormwood, hops, mint, oregano and wild grass processed for phytochemicals in our formulations.
Essential oils : These range from cheerful chocolate fragrances topped off with real chocolate and supported with cocoa butter to eucalyptus, oregano and sandalwood oils for depth and balance.
Our basic Grounding tools : Clay, alcohol and charcoal are some of what we call the basic grounding tools in our formulations. We use any or a mix of the three with an extra antibacterial to ward off damage to our products, protect the skin from toxins and noxious substances we come across in our everyday lives or in emergencies. Clay soothes and protects and when sterilised (heat treated) works like a preservative.
Alcohol helps protect the integrity of formulations and acts as an antiseptic while improving antibacterial or microbial effects of the formulation. Charcoal simply protects from toxins of all kinds. Great for skin health.
Other Oils : We use a mixture of castor oil, cocoa butter, a maximum of 5% mineral oil and sunflower or rapeseed (canola) oil for our products.
